Without seeing the vids i can only guess - 55 monk/mes/ele/necro all require 2 things ( tho 55 monk can only require the grim cesta ) - a weapon of enchanting which a totem axe is commonly used and the -50 cesta.
I personally dont use a totem axe - thru the months i have modded various weapons to act same as the totem and all u need is ..... 20% enchanting mod and +5 nrg and thus i have had fiery blade of enchanting , elemental sword of enchanting , fellblade , fiery dragon sword ( from eotn or nightfall so it can be fully modded - shame ids cant be gotten anywhere else cept mineral springs in prophs ) , i also have several axes of enchanting. I love running around with fds as its better lookin than totem.
So this may explain why you see different weapons - others that can be used are spears of enchanting , scythe and also bows tho last 2 are 2 handed not 1 and are probably used in 105 monks.

ok just realised this wasnt the 55 thread by mojo but 600 one lol - this the case then a. 600 may be using enchant weapons or may be using weapons with extra 30hp mod - i also use both as well as a normal staff as spare weapon

No, mojo8850 is not a troll, he/she is, in fact, a person needing help. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not you are qualified/licensed/able to give the kind of help necessary. There have been a couple threads in the Warrior subforum (my usual hangout, as my main is a Warrior) by our good buddy and thread-starter mojo which run along the same vein - complete with comments about not understanding a damn thing, asking questions that could easily be answered with the click of a search button, or by reading the entire PvXWiki page instead of just snagging build code and using it without understanding of even the basic mechanics of the build, and bitches/moans/gripes complaints about how if we don't like the topic or don't want to help we don't have to help.

mojo needs help, but I, for certain, don't have the necessary training to do so. It would require years in school that I don't have, as well as, at bare minimum, a State Psychiatry License, which I am also not in possession of.

@mojo8850-

As far as the weapons that they are using, it depends on the area you are in. No matter what set a person is using - unless they don't plan to cast with the set, or if they are fairly used to weaponswapping - will have a +20% increased enchantments mod somewhere, be it on an Axe/Spear/Sword or a Staff. Some builds run smoother if you have a bit more Energy, in which case they could use either a +5e one-handed weapon with an offhand or a +20e Staff (+5e Insightful Staff Head and a +5e while Enchanted inscription). Or if you needed faster cast times, it would probably be a 20% HSR, 40% HCT +20% enchant staff.

As someone said earlier, it depends on where you are running the 600/Smite team and what you, as the 600, need to do the best at your job, be that more Energy, HP, Enchantment time, or faster Cast/Recharge.

lol mojo a troll - most trolls i seen usually jump in a thread an undermine it and offer their own comments to how bad xxxxx is , mojo isnt doing any of that and is only guilty of being lazy ( no offence intended mojo ) and asking a lot of questions.
Troll - cause trouble
Mojo - seeking wisdom and does listen to what ppl say
Big difference

mojo start listening to what others are telling you and go out there and start doing it.I would as I said forget about dual smite and think of soloing with a 55 untill you feel comfortable with that.Then you can give dual smite try if you can find partner for it.
